Privacy Policy

Published October 1, 2026.

This notice covers our website, apps and support services. See the sections below for the information relevant to the features you use.

This Privacy Policy explains how Amico Apps LLC (“Amico”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information in connection with our website, apps including WidgetWall, QuitAll and Goldie, and customer support. Amico Apps LLC is the controller of information we process for our own purposes. Our contact details are below.

The information involved depends on the app, distribution channel, version and features you use. A feature’s own notice may provide additional details. Third-party stores and services have their own privacy notices for processing they control. This policy is information about our practices, not a blanket consent to processing.

1. Information we process

Information you provide. This includes your name and email address when supplied, purchase or license references, correspondence, support messages, screenshots, screencasts and other attachments you choose to send, and product suggestions. Please send only what is needed; do not include passwords, full card numbers, license secrets or unnecessary sensitive personal information.

Purchases. Depending on the seller and purchase channel, we receive transaction or subscription status, product, purchase date, license details and contact or billing information needed to provide access and support. Apple, Paddle or Setapp handles its checkout and payment data under its own notice. We do not ask you to send payment-card details through support.

Website and connection information. Our website and its providers process IP addresses, browser and device information, page visits, referring pages, approximate location derived from connection information, and cookie or similar identifiers. Logs also record requests and their time for operation, security and troubleshooting.

App usage and diagnostics. Apps may send app and operating-system versions, language, distribution channel, license status, installation or app-instance identifiers, feature interactions and crash or performance information. WidgetWall uses Firebase Analytics for product usage and Bugsnag for errors and performance. For example, events describe widget types, feature selections and duration of use; diagnostic reports can include technical context around a failure. Pseudonymous identifiers are not necessarily anonymous.

Optional device features and integrations. A widget or feature may access selected files, photos, calendars, reminders, camera, microphone or location when needed for the feature and subject to applicable device permissions. Location can be a place you select, an approximate location derived through IP lookup services, or device location when permission is granted. WidgetWall’s IP lookup uses ipify and ip-api. Requests to weather, media or other connected services disclose the information needed for that request and connection information to the relevant provider. Local content is not automatically part of a support conversation; content you explicitly submit or share is handled for that purpose.

Sources. We obtain this information from you, your interactions with our apps and website, the device or permissions you use, and sellers or connected providers that supply purchase, technical or requested-service information.

2. Purposes and legal bases

We use information to deliver and maintain purchased or requested features, verify access, answer support requests, diagnose failures, improve product reliability and usability, protect the Services against misuse, manage payments and legal records, and communicate relevant service notices. Product suggestions help us evaluate improvements. Where marketing messages are sent, you can unsubscribe or object to direct marketing.

Where European or UK data-protection law applies, our purposes and legal bases are:

  • Contract or steps you request before a contract: information necessary to supply a purchase, activate a license or provide requested contractual support.
  • Legitimate interests: proportionate security, troubleshooting, service improvement, handling general inquiries and protecting legal claims, balanced against your interests and rights. We do not treat this as permission to disregard a consent requirement.
  • Consent: processing for which consent is required, including applicable optional tracking or marketing. You may withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
  • Legal obligations: records and disclosures required by applicable tax, accounting, consumer-protection or other law.

Providing optional feedback or using AI chat is your choice. We may be unable to complete a purchase, locate a record or answer a request without the information necessary for it. AI support generates suggested answers; it does not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you.

3. Who receives information

Access is limited to personnel and providers who need information for their role. The relevant recipients include:

  • Hosting and support infrastructure: Google Cloud/Firebase for the dedicated support service and database; Google/Gmail for original support emails and attachments; and Pressable/WordPress for our website and support dashboard.
  • AI processing: OpenAI for applicable support prompts and generated answers or drafts, as explained below.
  • Analytics and diagnostics: Google Analytics on the website, Firebase Analytics in WidgetWall, and Bugsnag for app error and performance reporting.
  • Purchases and access: Apple, Paddle and Setapp, as applicable to the channel you choose.
  • Optional connected services: providers of the widgets, media, location lookups or integrations you use, for the corresponding requests.
  • Professional or legally required recipients: advisers, authorities or other parties where reasonably necessary to meet a legal obligation, protect rights or address a security incident. A business transfer may involve relevant records, subject to applicable protections and notice requirements.

Providers may act on our instructions or as independent controllers for particular activities such as their own payment, fraud-prevention or statutory obligations. Their notices explain those activities. Relevant notices include Google, OpenAI, Bugsnag, Apple, Paddle, Setapp and Pressable.

4. Support, AI and attachments

Dedicated in-app AI support. When you choose this feature, the support service processes your messages, generated replies, feedback, support actions, a conversation reference, and basic app and device details such as version, operating system, channel and language. It derives a country from the connection address; the application’s chat records do not retain the raw IP address, although infrastructure providers process connection information. Some recognizable sensitive text is filtered before AI processing, but filtering cannot remove every instance.

OpenAI receives the relevant message text and support context to generate answers. Authorized Amico staff can read retained conversations and assist you. AI answers can be inaccurate; you can ask for human help. Where offered, you can choose email support instead. Email support may also use AI-assisted drafts reviewed by staff, so choosing email does not necessarily exclude AI processing.

Email and attachments. Gmail holds the original correspondence and attachments. Our dedicated support database contains correspondence and attachment metadata used by the dashboard. The normal email-drafting process sends text rather than attachment file contents to the AI. A chat reference included in an email can link it to the chat. Do not assume that a screenshot or recording contains no personal information; review it before sending.

Website chat. We disabled the separate website chatbot on October 1, 2026. It no longer accepts website conversations or sets its visitor-identification cookie. This does not disable the dedicated in-app support service or email support. Disabling the website chatbot does not itself delete any historical provider records.

Your controls. In app versions that provide them, New Chat closes the current conversation and clears its window without deleting retained records. Delete Conversation removes that chat’s messages and activity from Amico’s dedicated support service. It does not delete separately sent emails, website-chat records or copies subject to a provider’s separate retention. Keep the conversation reference if you need help locating a chat, and contact us for broader requests.

AI-provider retention. Our dedicated support integration requests that responses are not stored as retrievable response objects. This does not mean zero provider retention. OpenAI’s applicable API controls and terms govern its processing; standard abuse-monitoring retention can include content for up to 30 days, with exceptions, and other processing features may have separate retention. See OpenAI’s API data controls. We do not promise that using Delete Conversation erases every provider copy immediately.

5. Cookies, analytics and marketing choices

We disabled the website’s Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager integrations on October 1, 2026. The website may still use necessary cookies for functions such as staff sign-in and security. Third-party checkout and embedded services may set cookies when you use them. App analytics and diagnostics, described above, are separate and are not disabled by this website change.

You can control cookies in your browser, remove stored site data, use supported tracking protections and adjust the settings offered by the relevant provider. Google provides a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on for supported browsers and advertising controls. These tools do not necessarily stop every form of operational logging or every other provider’s processing. Blocking necessary cookies can affect a feature.

Where applicable law requires consent for a technology, that requirement applies independently of this policy. Reading this page or continuing to browse is not, by itself, consent. A browser’s older Do Not Track setting does not automatically change every service’s behavior. Legally recognized opt-out signals, such as Global Privacy Control where applicable, are distinct from Do Not Track.

You may object to direct marketing at any time and unsubscribe using a message’s link or by contacting us. Where applicable law gives you a right to opt out of sale, sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, or targeted advertising, contact us to exercise it. This policy does not characterize all analytics disclosures as anonymous or declare that every advertising-related disclosure is outside those legal definitions.

6. Retention and deletion

Dedicated support database: conversations are retained for up to 90 days after the last contact; individual events may expire earlier. Identifiable product suggestions are retained for up to 90 days after submission. Expired records are excluded from ordinary support views and scheduled for automatic deletion, which is not instantaneous. Totals that no longer identify individuals may remain.

Separate records: the 90-day database period does not automatically apply to original Gmail messages or attachments, separate website chat, purchase records, security logs or backups. Their retention depends on the purpose and system: resolving the request and any necessary follow-up; applicable accounting or tax obligations; investigating security incidents; handling complaints or legal claims; and the provider’s deletion and backup cycle. These copies may remain after a dashboard record disappears. Contact us if you want deletion assessed across the relevant systems.

Security logs: the dedicated support project’s default Cloud Logging bucket currently retains logs for 30 days, while Google’s required audit-log bucket retains its records for 400 days. These are separate from chat-message retention. Provider logs and backups may have other periods. We may retain limited information where necessary to comply with law, protect a legal claim, record a rights request or prevent deleted information from being re-imported.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location and the applicable law, you may request access to and a copy of your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, or a portable copy; withdraw consent; object to certain processing; and appeal a decision on a request where that right applies. These rights have conditions and exceptions. We will explain a refusal or limitation and the available complaint or appeal route.

Right to object: where we rely on legitimate interests, you may object based on your circumstances. You may object to processing for direct marketing at any time.

Email ciao@amicoapps.com with your request. Provide the email address, conversation reference or other information reasonably needed to locate the records. We may need proportionate verification before disclosing or deleting data; a public chat reference alone does not prove ownership. We do not require identity documents routinely or collect new identity information solely to identify an otherwise unidentifiable record.

We respond within the period required by applicable law. For requests under the GDPR, this is generally one month; if a permitted extension is necessary, we will explain it within that period. Authorized agents may submit requests where the law permits, subject to appropriate verification. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

You can complain to your local data-protection authority, including an EEA supervisory authority or the UK Information Commissioner, without first complaining to us. Contact us if you wish to appeal our response to a privacy request.

8. International processing and security

Amico is based in the United States. Our dedicated support database is hosted in the United States, and providers may process information in other countries. Those countries may have different privacy laws. Cross-border processing remains subject to applicable data-protection requirements; use of the Services is not a blanket waiver of those requirements.

Providers’ applicable data-processing terms describe contractual transfer protections, including standard contractual clauses where applicable. The mechanism depends on the provider, service and transfer. Contact us for information about the arrangements and safeguards relevant to your information and how to obtain a copy. We do not represent that Amico itself holds a particular international privacy certification.

We use access controls and other technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No system can guarantee absolute security. Keep your device and credentials secure and contact us about suspected unauthorized access.

9. Children

Our website and support services are not directed to children under 13. Where a higher minimum age or parental authorization is required by applicable law or a purchase platform, that requirement applies. If you believe a child has provided personal information contrary to those requirements, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

10. Changes to this policy

We will update the published date when this policy changes and provide additional notice where appropriate or legally required. A change in wording does not authorize a new use of information where consent or another legal requirement must first be satisfied.
